Nestled inside the hamlet of Mountain View, Sunset Cottage is a secluded yet convenient retreat with a panoramic view of the gently rolling hills of Southern Alberta’s beautiful farm country. Situated only minutes away from the unrivaled natural beauty of Waterton Lakes National Park, as well as the charm and convenience of the town of Cardston, the cottage’s privacy, comfort, and location make it an ideal lodging option for anyone enjoying the region’s activities.
Originally built in 1934, this 750 square foot home is currently undergoing a complete and thorough upgrade. Sunset Cottage sleeps 8 people and includes two bedrooms– one queen and one with two bunk beds (four twins). A comfortable family room includes an electric fireplace, a couch (pull-out sofa), two sofa chairs and a flat screen television/BLUERAY player (movie collection provided). Double full glass sliding doors lead out to the deck with a picturesque view of the mountains to the west, and of course, the sunset! The cottage boasts a full kitchen, including dishwasher and microwave. Also has a large kitchen island that seats 8-10. The full bath includes a shower/tub combination. A full size washer and dryer are included for your convenience.
The Sunset Cottage will have been fully renovated by the time it opens in spring 2016. This beautiful property offers a 1/2 acre of land with a fire pit, tree swing, hammock, and BBQ.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cups, utensils, pots and pans, crock pot, rice cooker, toaster, electric pancake griddle, and coffee maker.
Each bedroom includes storage space with drawers, closet space, and a fan. A portable crib is also provided.
Other amenities included with your stay are: wifi access, board games, outdoor games (football, soccer ball, basketball etc...), and roasting sticks for the campfire.
